Majority of temples in Goa were destroyed during portuguese rule.Infact most of the churches of Goa are built at a place where some day temples use to stand.But still there are some temples worth seeing.

Mangeshi Temple
It is Temple dedicated Sri Mangesh(Lord Shiva).According to the legend says that Goddess Parvati came here in search of Lord shiva and The Lord came infront of her in the form of Sri Mangesh.I liked this temple because of its place of location.The temple is situated in Priol and surrounded by a hillock.The greenery surrounding this temple is mind soothing.

The oldest part of the temple complex is the water tank in front of the temple. At the entrance to the temple is a majestic lamp tower, one of the special architectural features of many Goan temples. There are about 12 " Agrashalas" or residences for pilgrims around the temple.

Shree Shantadurga Temple
This temple is situated at Fatorpa, 18kms from Margao. The deity is dedicated to Goddess Shantadurga, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati, consort of Lord Shiva. The deity originally came from Cuncolim in Salcette taluka and was moved to Fatorpa in the 16th century to escape the wanton destruction of Hindu temples during that time by the Portuguese.

Pandav caves
The oldest temple in Goa is said to be the rock cut caves at Aravalem known as "Pandava Caves" dedicated to Lord Shiva and dating back to the 1st century AD.
