Aguada Fort-In portuguese 'aguada' means water.It was home to several natural springs, the first source of drinking water available to ships arriving in Goa after the long sea voyage from Lisbon.A 19th century built lighthouse is situated inside the fortress.It was once used as jail.The fort, at present, houses the central jail.
Chapora Fort-Situated about 10km from mapusa this fort was rebuilt by portuguese in order to strengthen their position in the north to diffuse constant threat posed by Marathas.One can enjoy the excellent view of vagator beach from this fort.Many of the bollywood movies has been shooted here.I will say it is must see place if you are in Goa.
